In what would amount to a takeover of epic proportions, Nike has quickly refuted claims of a takeover bid for their fellow sportswear competitors, adidas. A few days ago, spokespeople for Nike quickly refused to comment regarding the news while a Frankfurt trader said its most likely the resurfacing of an old rumor. However adidas stock holders did receive a small boost from the circulating rumors. Myself being far from an anti-trust virtuoso, I don't even know if something like this would go through.
