crazy Photographs

British artist, Alan Jaras, creates beautiful works of art using the simplest subject, light. With a light passing through transparent objects such as textured glass, Jaras is able to capture these light refraction patterns directly onto 35mm film, without using a lense. By using various color filters, he is able to create amazing natural images of light explosions without using any computer graphics.

Supra NS 2008 Fall Collection

Supra’s non-skate orientated NS collection has recently been previewed by the skate brand. Featuring some silhouettes which originated on the skate side of things, the NS series is marked by a more fashionable approach to materials as well as a higher build quality. Adidas D mop

D-Mop’s diverse approach to fashion literally shines through as they make up the ‘D’ of the A to ZX, with the Hong Kong store choosing a ZX 500 for this futuristic take on an 80’s icon. Grey suede with a silver reptilian print applied next to a silver premium leather makes for an eyecatching version of a familiar running design. Metallic down to the insole, tradition is applied via the unexpected, but aesthetically pleasing dose of yellow and red on the outsole. Given the appealing single colour upper, it’s open to a number of different looks via the numerous coloured laces offered as part of the package. Unique and bold, this is a completely new look for a pioneering adidas creation.

Nike Air Max 90

Quite possibly the most desirable retro colorway of all time is coming back once again in 2008. Although the number of previous Air Max 90 Infrared retros have been numerous, no doubt this re-release will allow many to get their hands on this prized sneaker which has seen the re-sale value jump increasingly fast as stocks dry up. With retro models usually offering some distinction, no word on how these 2008 models are unlike past Infrareds. Look for a late July release at select Nike retailers including Sneakology.

Impluse Shoes

I just bought these two dress shoes... reminds me of fashion i saw in Japan : (which can be written as ギャル男, ギャルオ, ギャル汚 in Japanese) are a sub-group of modern Japanese youth culture. They are the male equivalent of their female counterparts, the gyaru. The o suffix that is added to the word, is one reading of the Chinese character for male (男). Recently, the Chinese character for 'dirty' in Japanese (汚), which also has the same reading, is often used by gyaru and gyaru-o in a light hearted way, poking fun at themselves because of the reputation that their subculture has gained within society due to their dark skin, hairstyles and often grittish, rough style of clothing that they wear. Gyaruo are characterised by their deep tans, dyed hair, party lifestyle and a liking for all different types of trance music including the infamous para-para dancing music, Eurobeat.... these boots look siqk! guess i cant wear sneakers all the time!
